MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING OF SIBLE HEDINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL HELD AT 75 SWAN STREET, SIBLE HEDINGHAM ON FRIDAY, 8th JANUARY 2010 AT 4.30 PM

2. Declarations of interest
Mr. A. Law declared a personal interest in the application relating to 43 Hawkwood Road as he knows the applicant. No other interests were declared.

3. Minutes of previous meeting
The minutes of the previous Planning Committee Meeting held on 11TH December 2009, having been previously circulated, were taken as read, were confirmed and duly signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

  • Matters arising from those minutes
Mr. H. Johnson reported that he had inspected the trees at the Old Bakery, 37 Swan Street and agreed that the sycamore was listing, dangerous and should be felled and the two willow trees should be reduced as appropriate. The Clerk reported that after making these representations to BDC it appeared that the actual site of these trees was just outside the Conservation Area and therefore permission is not required. BDC had notified the applicant accordingly.
There were no other matters arising.

6. Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered:
09/00312/TPOCON – 89 Alexandra Road – Fell leylandii hedge – no objection.
09/01637/FUL – 43 Hawkwood Road – Demolition of existing single storey extension and conservatory and erection of extension to side and rear of existing property – no objection save that rear balcony should not overlook neighbouring properties
09/01681/FUL – Social Club, Station Road – Retrospective consent for change of use of land to extend parking area – no objection
