When the Parish Council meets with Braintree District Council on 13th October, it will be asked to comment on the following:
Should we:?
Keep the village envelope and designations as they are set out in the Local Plan Review 2005 inset map (below)
a)Remove the employment area from Premdor and Rockways SIB2a & 2B) factories and replace with a comprehensive redevelopment area?
b)Put designations for housing sites of 10 or more dwellings at the following sites already within the village envelope
i)SIB7 - Coopers Yard
ii)SIB9 Corders Yard, off Parkfields
c) Include designations of visually important open space or formal/informal recreation at the following locations
i)Land at Brook Meadow
ii)Land at Church St Green (already owned by the Parish Council)
iii)Land on the corner of Parkfields and Alexandra Rd
iv)Land around the substation odd Parkfields
d)Identify land outside the village envelope for furthe open space or allotment provision
e)Options for Tanners Dairy site
i)Leave the site unallocated outside the development boundary, s it currently is
ii}Include the site within the village envelope for residential development
iii)Include the site within the village envelope for employment development
iv)Include the site within the village envelope for another use.
f)Extend the village envelope to include one or more parts of the sites suggested by developers for residential development
g} Alderford MIll - enhancement issue
h)Swan Public House - should village envelope be amended in this location in order to include further land at its rear?
