MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING OF SIBLE HEDINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL HELD AT 75 SWAN STREET, SIBLE HEDINGHAM ON FRIDAY, 26th FEBRUARY 2010 AT 4.30 PM

Declarations of interest
Mr. A. Law declared a personal interest in connection with the application relating to Alderford House as he knows the applicants. No other interests were declared.

Minutes of previous meeting
The minutes of the previous Planning Committee Meeting held on 29TH January 2010, having been previously circulated, were taken as read, were confirmed and duly signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

  • Matters arising from those minutes
It was reported that the unauthorised signs either side of the Library had eventually been removed but the failure of adequate cover for the BDC Planning Enforcement Officer during his absence was deplored.

There was no public comment.

6. Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered:
10/00126/FUL – 8 Sparrow Close – Erection of two storey side extension - no objection although it was noted that the proposed extension was rather large.
10/00130/FUL and 10/00131/LBC – Fiesta Thatch, Sugar Lane – Erection of two storey side extension to existing cottage – no objection
09/01678/FUL – Kendalls Barn, Southey Green – Erection of agricultural building for farm machinery – additional plans were considered but it was resolved that these plans did not change the representations made in the letter of 5
th February to BDC.
10/00014/TPOCON – Eleys Malting, 11 Queen Street – Notice of intent to carry out works to trees in a Conservation Area – Prune Trees – No objection.
10/00239/LBC – Alderford House, 15 Alderford Street – Installation of secondary glazing to windows at rear of house and in attics – no objection

Confidential business
It was resolved that in view of the special or confidential nature of the business about to be transacted it is advisable in the public interest that the public and press be excluded from the remainder of the meeting and they are instructed to withdraw pursuant to the provisions of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960. The Planning Committee meeting then continued in private session (see confidential minutes for Parish Councillors only).
