Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered:
07/01310/FUL – 135 Swan Street – Demolition of attached shop unit and construction of 3 no. two storey terraced houses - no objection, the provision of low cost housing is welcomed and the scheme has much to commend it.
07/01366/FUL – Craig Cottage, Lamb Lane – Erection of single storey two bay cart lodge – no comment.
07/01379/COU – 99 Swan Street – Change of use of first floor only from office to residential accommodation in association with use of ground floor takeaway – concern that (i) there is no provision for parking and (ii) health and safety and fire risk associated with industrial cooking processes from the takeaway shops on the ground floor.
07/01389/FUL – 19B Hawkwood Road – Erection of replacement garage and replacement of existing conservatory – no objection.
07/01424/FUL – 1 Blois Cottages, Blois Hall Road – Erection of two storey/single storey extension – no objection.
07/01429/FUL – Tilekiln Farm – Proposed additional storey extension and car port – no real change in current application – PC had no objection to earlier application and suggest that BDC reconsider their decision.
07/01200/ADV – Forest Homes, 58 Swan Street – Retrospective consent for display of sign board – opposed on basis of roadside advertising and legality of this type of sign questioned. PC would welcome guidance from BDC on signage.

The above recommendations of the Planning Committee were approved.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 11.30 pm.
